I absolutely love family beach sessions — they’re my most requested location and, honestly, my happy place too. We’re so lucky to have such beautiful coastal spots here in North Wales.

The best beach sessions happen when everyone relaxes and goes with the flow. We’ll usually start near the dunes and make our way towards the water at the end.

Little ones will naturally want to play, explore and dig in the sand — and I fully encourage it. When parents join in too, that’s when the most beautiful candid moments happen.

So forget the camera, enjoy the moment, and let your children be little. Those natural, love-filled images are always the ones you’ll treasure most.

Booking is essential! These sessions are in demand year after year. They are loved by all! No age range, and pets are welcome.

Unfortunately, the British weather can be unpredictable, so I recommend booking between July and September. Once the date is secured, we monitor the weather and if convenient we reschedule. 

Light, flowy fabrics are ideal for beach sessions. They catch the breeze in the most beautiful way and will keep you from feeling trapped or tangled in your clothing.

Bonus Mum tip: One of my favourite tricks for sand is baby powder. Applying a bit to kids hands, legs and feet can easily brush off most of the sand before making your way back to your car. It’s also ideal for getting sand off of baby’s face!

Keep your shoes in mind as well. You’ll want to lean toward something easy to slip on and off before and after getting sandy.

Colours… think natural, earthy, pastel colours and you most definitely do not need to 'match' as long as you pick at least two colour and make sure everyone in the family has at least one of those on.

Once you have booked, you will receive your booking confirmation, which includes all the important information, such as location, parking, and directions to the shooting area.

Let the fun begin! Think running around the dunes playing tag, building sandcastles, playing eye spy, spotting boats and bird and in between all the fun I secretly snap away those heart warming family moments.
