Booking is essential for our Coastline Beach Sessions, as these are always in demand year after year.

These relaxed family sessions are perfect for all ages, and pets are more than welcome to join in too.

As we all know, the British weather can be unpredictable, so I recommend booking your beach session between July and September for the best chance of beautiful conditions. Once your date is secured, I’ll keep an eye on the forecast and, if needed, we can reschedule to make sure you get the best experience possible.

I absolutely love family beach sessions. They’re my most requested location and, honestly, the coastline is my happy place too. We’re so lucky to have such beautiful beaches here in North Wales, making them the perfect setting for relaxed, natural lifestyle family photography.

The best beach sessions happen when everyone lets go of expectations and simply enjoys the moment. We’ll usually start near the dunes, where little ones can settle in, and then make our way towards the water for the end of the session.

Children naturally want to play, explore, dig in the sand and run free — and I fully encourage it. When parents join in, too, that’s when the most beautiful candid moments happen.

So forget the camera, breathe in the sea air, and let your children be little. The sandy toes, windswept hair, cuddles, laughter and love-filled moments are always the photographs you’ll treasure most.

Once your session is booked, you’ll receive a confirmation email with everything you need to know, including the location, parking information and directions to the shooting area.

Please note that the location is about a 5–10 minute relaxed walk from the parking area. As the route crosses the sand dunes, it isn’t suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs, so please keep this in mind when planning what to bring.

Light, flowy fabrics are perfect for beach sessions. They move beautifully in the coastal breeze, photograph softly, and help everyone feel comfortable and relaxed.

When choosing outfits, think natural, earthy or pastel tones. You don’t need to match perfectly — in fact, coordinated colours often look much better. Choose two or three soft shades, and have everyone wear something that ties into that palette.

Shoes are also worth thinking about. Something easy to slip on and off is ideal, as we’ll usually spend some time barefoot in the sand.

Bonus tip: baby powder is brilliant for removing sand before getting back in the car. A small sprinkle on hands, legs or feet helps brush sand away easily — especially for little ones after a beach session.

During your session, the focus is simply on having fun together.

Think running through the dunes, playing tag, building sandcastles, spotting boats and birds, cuddling up together, and letting your children explore naturally.

There’s no pressure to pose perfectly. I’ll gently guide you when needed, but the real magic often happens in the playful, in-between moments — the laughter, sandy toes, windswept hair and little connections that show your family exactly as you are.

These are the moments that make beach photography sessions so special, and the memories you’ll treasure for years to come.
